This is Harley, he is a handsome 1 year old male Belgian Malinois. He is a fun, lovable boy who is good with dogs, cats, kids and horses. Harley is housebroken and very well behaved. The only reason he has not been adopted is he comes with baggage – his best friend Dooley has been with him thru an amazing and almost tragic adventure so we have been hoping to adopt them together. For those who don’t know the story, Harley and his Catahoula friend Dooley (also a one year old male,extremely lovable and friendly, also great with dogs, cats, kids and horses) were found on the side of the road in a remote area in the middle of the state. Alone, scared and facing certain death at the county animal control where they were found, Nala’s was the only rescue who would consider taking them. They were both starved, not neutered, in need of veterinary care and lots of groceries. When Dooley went to the vet to be neutered, Harley’s heart sunk as he thought his friend was gone and he stopped eating. When Dooley returned and was healed up, Harley started eating again. They truly have a once in a lifetime bond as all they had was each other.. They do need a fenced yard as they love to run and play. They have been at our ranch for 6 weeks and both have learned how to be dogs. It is so wonderful to see the transformation of these once depressed, scared boys to the happy, confident, lovable dogs they are now. Whoever adopts them will be getting 2 thankful, amazing dogs.
