Wiggles

Introducing Wiggles! This bubbly girl is 50 pounds of pure joy and love. Wiggles is special and so is her story. For the past 4 times, Barbi went to Okeechobee Animal Control to choose the lucky dogs to be transported, there was one face she could not forget. Wiggles did not have a name and as time went on Barbi could see she was losing hope of being rescued. She was the perfect dog to go on the transport but there was one problem – she is heartworm-positive. Heartworm-positive dogs are not permitted to be transported to our partner in NH. There is also normally little or no chance of heartworm-positive dogs being adopted as the average treatment for heartworm disease is $800. So as soon as Nala’s had an available kennel we took Wiggles. She is so happy to have a new chance at life, you can see it in her face every day at our ranch. Wiggles is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She will need to go through heartworm treatment which Nala’s will raise the money to pay for but in the meantime, it would be wonderful to get Wiggles into a foster or forever home. She is 6 years old, housebroken, great with other dogs and we think she would be fine with children.
